Bohol gov at 68 iba pa, suspendido

Pinatawan ng preventive suspension si Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado at 68 iba pa sa loob ng 6 na buwan.

May kaugnayan ang suspensyon sa imbestigasyon ng kontrobersyal na Captain’s Peak Resort sa Chocolate Hills.

Matatandaang ang nabanggit na resort ay walang Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) at Special Use Agreement in Protected Areas (SAPA) mula sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB).

Ang suspensyon ay inilabas noong May 22 laban kay Gov. Aumentado maging ang mga local official gaya ng mga mayor at barangay officials sa iba’t ibang bayan ng Bohol.

Kasama rin sa suspensyon ang DENR-EMB regional director at DENR Region 7 protected area management board regional director.
