“The police right now is causing clear harassment tactic again by forcibly opening the Emerald gate when they have access in Gate 18 and they are (the) ones actually in control of the KOJC compound.
We have reasons to believe that they are doing this in order to provoke the members into anger and arrest them while at the same time gaining free access for things that they would like to introduce into the compound without undergoing the scanning process,” ayon kay Atty. Israelito Torreon ng KOJC.
Para naman kay Mr. Jun Avelino, isang international relations scholar, “Why are they still there? They are really there for another reason because they failed to generate the desired output- their desired output- which is to ignite violence.
They are now about to create one, to justify a state of emergency, to make it appear that there is violence and therefore the government is forced to place the entire city under martial law and when it will be placed under martial law -depending on the level of participation- the Dutertes can be charged with rebellion and these are non-bailable offenses.”
“So that is the way how to annihilate your political nemesis. This is really troubling and they cannot appoint whoever will run the city government and politically disenfranchise whoever stands in their way.
It’s really saddening and I’m just hoping that the Dutertes and the people of Davao will be circumspect enough not to be baited or not to be lured into going into the trap of this government,” paliwanag ng international relations scholar.
