Sinuspinding LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III, balik na sa puwesto

Epektibo ngayong araw ng Lunes, Nobyembre 6, ay balik na sa pagiging Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman si Teofilo Guadiz III.

Ito ang kinumpirma ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, base na rin sa kautusan ng Office of the President (OP)na pirmado ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

“The DOTR issued a special order lifting the suspension of Teofilo Guadiz III effective Nov 6, 2023 on the basis of an order from the office of the President signed by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin,” ayon kay DOTr, Sec. Jaime Bautista.

Ang desisyong ito ay batay sa kautusan ng Office of the President matapos bawiin ang 90-araw na suspensyon kay Guadiz.

Kasunod ito ng recantation ni Jeffrey Tumbado, ang dating executive assistant ni Guadiz na nagsiwalat ng umano’y katiwalian at korapsyon sa LTFRB.

“Lifting the 90-day suspension due to the issuance of affidavit of recantation by Jeff Gallos Tumbado withdrawing his statements against Chairman Guadiz and other officials of LTFRB and DOTR,” dagdag pa nito.

Sa pahayag ng Office of the Executive Secretary, wala silang nakikitang dahilan upang ipagpatuloy ang suspensyon kay Guadiz matapos bawiin ng umano’y whistleblower ang kanyang naunang salaysay laban kay Guadiz.

“As such there stands no reason to place Chairperson Guadiz under preventive suspension unless a supervening event maintaining the same accusations against him are put forth before the OP,” saad ng Office of the Executive Secretary.

Gayunpaman, pinasalamatan naman si Guadiz si Pangulong Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr., dahil sa suportang ibinigay na ipagpatuloy ang pagbibigay serbisyo nito sa bansa.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for his decision to reinstate me as the Chairperson of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). I am truly honored and humbled by the trust and confidence that President Marcos has placed in me to continue serving our nation in this capacity,” ayon naman kay LTFRB, Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III.

Nangangako ito na ipagpapatuloy umano ang mataas na pamantayan ng integridad, husay at katapatan sa pamumuno sa LTFRB lalo na para sa sektor ng transportasyon.

“I pledge to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and efficiency in leading the LTFRB.

We will work tirelessly to address the pressing issues and challenges in the transportation sector, striving to improve the lives of the Filipino people by providing safe, reliable, and accessible public transportation services,” dagdag pa nito.

Matatandaang, pinatawan ng suspensyon ang LTFRB chief matapos masangkot ang pangalan sa katiwalian sa ahensya.
